UNH advocates for critical educational and enrichment opportunities that help young people make positive choices and succeed in school and in the workforce. We do this through advocacy and policy analysis as well as by providing resources to our member agencies for program innovation and enhancement.

Emerging Leaders Management Training

Since 2005, UNH has partnered with top educational institutions to engage key staff from UNH member agencies in the highest level of management training.  Learn more »

Emily Menlo Marks Scholarship Program

UNH has supported member organization staff with scholarships for higher education since the early 1990s. Currently, UNH provides tuition assistance for applicants pursing a college degree or certificate.  Learn more »

Peer Support and Information Exchange

UNH works to strengthen the system of settlement houses and community centers by providing support for its member agency workforce, which numbers close to 10,000 employees. As part of this support, UNH organizes meetings of staff with similar jobs from member agencies.  Learn more »

UNH Award for Achievement in Civic Advocacy

The UNH Award for Achievement in Civic Advocacy has been made possible by a bequest from Julius C. C. Edelstein. Through this award, UNH recognizes staff of UNH member agencies who have demonstrated significant commitment to and accomplishment in the area of civic advocacy and engagement. One thousand dollars ($1,000) is awarded each year.  Learn more »
